When common sense is thrown out the window: This is how Vajgl’s assistant Jelena Aleksić defends Islamic terrorism

Datum:

The left-wing “intellectual” scene in Slovenia has some serious difficulties when it comes to condemning Islamic terrorism or the rioting and violence of left-wing fascists, but of course they never miss an opportunity to pounce on “Nazis” and “members of the Right”. One such case on Twitter is Jelena Aleksić, a leftist from the office of Ivo Vajgl. She is a sociologist and a former member of the Zares party.

Citizens of Berlin probably still have vivid memories of the terrorist attack from 19 December of last year, when a terrorist of the extremist Islamic organisation ISIS drove a 25-ton truck into a crowd of people at a Christmas market, putting a stop to festivities. He cold-bloodedly killed 12 people and injured 48.

This attack, which needs to be condemned unequivocally, found an advocate on social media. On the Slovenian left-wing scene, the task was carried out excellently by Jelena Aleksić, the assistant of MEP Ivo Vajgl. She shamelessly wrote: “Of course, let’s lynch the attacker and not ask what led to such extremist behaviour. Typical. Because it’s the easiest thing to do.”

Left-wing superiority complex
Even though Islamic terrorism is the greatest security threat of the 21st century and condemned everywhere, from Los Angeles to Vladivostok, there are “beings of higher intelligence” in Slovenia (in sociological associations and left-wing political parties) who prefer to vent their wrath on frightened and angry citizens that have been condemned by open door policies to live in fear of new terrorist threats for at least the next three decades, according to estimates by security experts. Of course, leftist only apply such criteria when it comes to Islamic terrorism or the destructive rampages of left-wing fascists, such as those that have been observed in Charlottesville, USA, where the latter have even become the victim of a Nazi terrorist whose car ploughed into a crowd, killing one person. Definitely worthy of condemnation. Last week, Europe was also hit by a new wave of terrorist attacks, from the one in Barcelona, Spain, which claimed 14 lives and left more than 100 people injured, to attacks in Finland and Germany.

Former minister, blogger, and Twitter user Žiga Turk confronted Jelena Aleksič about the last attack by referring to the aforementioned tweet, but the only answer he received was that he “doesn’t get it”. Like all other students at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Aleksić was taught that this education will make her part of a societal elite so that she will never have to provide arguments for anything. They are right solely because others do not know anything, but this is faulty reasoning that has also been fuelled by the dominant media. Fortunately, their conceit, haughtiness, and real value are exposed on social media, the only plural media environments.

Jelena Aleksić has been the assistant of MEP Ivo Vajgl since 2012. In the period from 2006 to 2014, she was part of the Municipal Council of Medvode as a member of the Zares party. She has been a member of the Presidency of the Slovenian Sociological Association since 2005. Between 2005 and 2008, she worked as a consultant in the Deputy Group in the National Assembly of Slovenia, and from 2008 to 2011, as the head of the Office of the President of the National Assembly.
