Ma said that the expansion of Alibaba will focus on products such as clothes, wine, and fruits with a special emphasis on the trade between the American Midwest and South East Asia. Ma has told journalists that they will focus on small businesses and added that they will support a million small businesses in the American Midwest, which will enable the sale of agricultural products and American services to China and other parts of Asia.
Spokespersons for Alibaba and Trump have said that the Monday meeting in Trump Tower focused on the expansion of the Chinese e-commerce company to America. ‘We had a great meeting, and a great, great entrepreneur, one of the best in the world, and he loves this country, and he loves China,’ Trump has said and added that they would do great things together. As a result the shares of the e-commerce company Alibaba went up by one percent on Monday.
